Bivouac -

Residence at the Maison de l'architecture du Québec

As part of its residency in 2017 at the Maison de l'architecture du Québec and the Archifête 150 / 375e project, Le Comité designed "Bivouac - Occupy Ville-Marie", an indoor and outdoor installation that questions the possibilities of occupating public and living spaces in the Ville-Marie district, its environmental issues and its historical context.

Le Comité’s team set up camp in the heart of Ville-Marie to make the MAQ its headquarters and offer an eclectic and evolutionary program.

About the Archifête 150|375e

The Archifête 150 | 375e is a creation of the Maison de l'architecture du Québec which is part of the official program of the 375th anniversary of Montreal and ties to the 150th celebrations of Canada. Under the theme "Living Ville-Marie", the Archifête creates the meeting between those who make the city, the architects, and those who live it, the citizens, through a thousand opportunities for exchanges between users and designers. Activities in the MAQ as well as outside the walls help punctuate those twelve months, to celebrate and dream together the architecture that is developed by the people here, today, in the borough of Ville-Marie!
