Montréal Science Center
Lightning installation
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Montreal Science Centre, the Committee designed a sustainable work of art that transforms the façade into a true visual landmark in the Old Port. This red anamorphic circle with integrated lighting catches the eye, stimulates curiosity, and embodies the ingenuity of the Science Centre.
Behind every line and every color lies meticulous work: Le Comité has designed a façade that plays with perceptions and guides visitors to the main and accessible entrances.
A creation that combines aesthetics, identity, and inclusion for a renewed and memorable welcome.

Mission
Design, production, installation
The proposed artistic intervention includes the integration of a high-performance vinyl anamorphosis, the renewal of the Science Center’s lettering, and the addition of colored stripes on the facade and on the steps leading to the complex’s entrance. These colorful lines highlight the building’s architecture and energize the whole, with a focal point on the main entrance. These graphic interventions are accentuated in the evening thanks to a controllable LED lighting system: lines of lights adorn three glass walls of the building and directional lighting highlights the red anamorphic circle. More than just architectural decoration, this project by Le Comité makes the Science Centre’s façade an essential Montreal symbol.
It is a powerful gesture that enhances the complex’s appeal and invites passersby to step inside and explore science in a new way.
