Floating campground- Centre de plein air de Beauport
Transitionnal space
The floating campsite project aims to be a unique flagship attraction, offering users an immersive experience. Inspired by Mediterranean-style developments and typical seaside architecture, the concept features three camping platforms on the water, each with its own color scheme and graphics. Each secure platform offers a comfortable space (20′ x 24′) consisting of a pergola-roofed shelter, furniture (picnic table and Adirondack chairs), equipment, a composting toilet, and canoe access. The shelter is made of an aluminum structure anchored to the floating platform and is well ventilated to maximize the view and the outdoors.

Mission
Design and project management
These floating camping platforms are part of Quebec City’s transitional space development project, positioning themselves as a renewal and, where appropriate, an enhancement of the experience of these places, emphasizing their close relationship with water. The concept therefore proposes a sensitive and colorful development program, taking the form of a wide range of custom-designed outdoor equipment, graphically inspired by the river enhancement program implemented by Quebec City. The aim is to strengthen the dialogue between users and the natural heritage of the rivers through these original, attractive, and high-quality public spaces.
