Le Quartier Jeunesse – CJE Montréal Centre-Ville
Interior design
The Carrefour jeunesse-emploi (CJE) Montréal Centre-Ville commissioned Le Comité to design its new workspace. Located on the 6th floor near Sainte-Catherine Street, this predominantly open-plan space welcomes participants from various programs as well as the CJE team. It also features a modular space dedicated to young people: the Quartier Jeunesse. The layout offers great flexibility in terms of how the space can be used, including for events and artistic performances.
The different areas include call rooms, multipurpose rooms, closed offices, a reception area, a casual work area, a stage, a kitchen, and a dining area.

Mission
Design, project management and production
To ensure that the needs of occupants were met, around 20 young people participated in the design process through a series of co-design workshops. The themes explored included the function of the space, ergonomics, colors, materials, and volume. Several consultation workshops were also held with the CJE team.
