Urban stops- Rue Émile-Duployé
Closed-street design
With Émile-Duployé Street set to become permanently pedestrianized in the coming years, the Plateau Mont-Royal mandated Le Comité team to propose a sustainable, customized four-season design with the aim of reconnecting the two sides of La Fontaine Park. A route with five unique stops has been designed to allow for a wide range of uses for all ages, promoting relaxation, play, and socialization. These customized stations can be used throughout the different seasons while connecting to the cross-country ski trail in winter and the bike path in summer.

Mission
Design, project management and production
The street furniture was designed in part using reclaimed ash wood, with particular attention paid to universal accessibility. Distinctive markings on the ground create a visual pathway and connect the park’s various stops, walkways, crossings, and lines of desire, incorporating murals by artist Raphael Dairon.
