Place de l’Étang – Blainville
Public place
The City of Blainville entrusted us with the mandate to imagine and design the new permanent furniture for Place de l’Étang. This signature furniture line, colorful and adapted to a young audience, is integrated into shaded pavilions of various sizes, located mainly in the park but also on a larger scale to create a marked and coherent intervention area.
The proposed design concept for Place de l’Étang is directly inspired by the shape and outline of the pond. As the central feature of the park, all the walkways and facilities gravitate around it. Its organic shape provides a guiding principle and inspiration for the circular furniture: signage, meeting areas, outdoor work spaces, and a stage, creating a harmonious whole that gives the site its identity.

The result of a consultation process and workshops with young people in collaboration with the City of Blainville, the concept supports the revitalization of Place de l’Étang and the area in general, adapted to the needs of the public, where each element interacts with the landscape.
