Place De Castelnau – 2022
Closed-street event
For the second year running, the Montreal borough of Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension worked with Le Comité team, in collaboration with Studio Caserne, to revamp the concept of pedestrianizing Place Castelnau. This new colorful playground allows pedestrians and cyclists to coexist while punctuating the route with terraces and street furniture, as well as an open-air exhibition gallery. The floor mural was created by muralist River June.
Composed of vibrant colors representing sections of the rose window of Sainte-Cécile Church, this work fills and unifies the street, allowing only the street furniture to emerge and highlighting the terraces of the shops.
