Pique-nique au jardin – Mont-Royal Avenue
Summer public space
In order to offer citizens and visitors a renewed outdoor experience during the summer season, the Borough of Plateau Mont-Royal and the Société de développement commerciale de l’Avenue Mont-Royal commissioned collectives of designers, architects, and artists to design various installations and developments under the theme “Promenade and Gardens.” Pique-nique au jardin installation consists of three wooden tables, each 25 feet long, forming a linear and unifying space punctuated by hanging planters, lights, and shaded areas. The modular and adjustable space is intended to be a shaded meeting place in the heart of the shopping street.
