Mobile educational kits – Espace pour la vie

Games arrangements

Le Comité, in partnership with the CREO team, was commissioned by Espace pour la vie to design and produce mobile educational kits as part of the “La Nature près de chez vous” program, which aims to demystify the natural sciences and encourage citizens to take action to protect biodiversity and the environment. During their creative and educational workshops, the Espace pour la vie team, in collaboration with community organizations and partners, imagines a city or neighborhood where humans live in harmony with nature. Le Comité’s mandate was to design two complete kits, including a game board, that would be modular, compact, and easily transportable. A rolling transport platform with a removable handle was therefore designed to accommodate compartmentalized boxes and store all the necessary materials.

The activity takes place around a game board representing a customizable map on which participants place various items, such as content cards, contextual objects, and specimens of flora and fauna from the Greater Montreal area. Audio and olfactory elements have also been added to the workshops. The game is set up using wooden supports designed to fit into the perforated game boards, allowing the content to be displayed vertically and read on several levels. The supports can accommodate different types of content, including prints on recycled cardboard, customizable magnetic boards, and herbariums of Greater Montreal flora.
