Imagine Monkland – Arrondissement CDN-NDG
Closed street event
Following the success of the Imagine Monkland event held in 2018 on Monkland Avenue, the Côte-des-Neiges Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Borough, in partnership with the Biz NDG Business Association, commissioned Le Comité to organize an event in the form of a temporary pedestrianization in the summer of 2024. This four-day event brought together kiosks from numerous local merchants and community organizations, while offering artistic and cultural programming for all ages.
As executive producer, Le Comité took charge of artistic direction, logistical planning for the event, creating a program in collaboration with local organizations, and designing a brand image and temporary street layout. The goal is to encourage residents and merchants to take ownership of public spaces while shopping at local businesses and enjoying the entertainment.

Mission
Design, project management, program, logistics
The concept for the 2024 edition of Imagine Monkland draws on the imagery of trade shows through a formal language inspired by labels. With their varied shapes, colors, and sizes, they stand out as a central graphic element of the identity and its various iterations. Bright, summery colors, referencing the family-friendly and playful context of the event, are juxtaposed with the use of black and white, which brings a more unique aspect to the identity, reflecting the image of the neighborhood. The visual identity is expressed through a variety of media to support the dissemination and promotion of the event, both in advance and during the four days of the event: official posters, wild posting, signage, participatory games, etc., providing a showcase for the event with the aim of creating a strong sense of belonging to Monkland Avenue.
