Meeting Place – Quartier Hodge – Place Benoit
Public Place
The organismes sociaux de Saint-Laurent (COSSL) committee commissioned Le Comité as part of the Hodge-Place Benoit Integrated Urban Revitalization (RUI) project to design a public square that would provide residents with a space to gather and relax. The result of a collaboration between the borough of Saint-Laurent, the Bon Courage Community Center, and VertCité, with support from the organization Solon Collectif, this project took into account the needs and requests of residents through a participatory process.
Mission
Conception, design, production
The proposed layout provides a space that is conducive to relaxation, reading, and socializing among residents, encourages play, allows for year-round use, and includes planters for greening and urban agriculture.
